Ka rawe and congratulations to the three outstanding apprentices who have just been named as finalists for the 2021 Apprentice of the Year competition!

They are:

  • Christopher Douglas, hosted by Containerco NZL Limited, Tauranga with Jo Brierley as Account Manager
  • Elizabeth Humberstone, hosted by JP Marshall in Hamilton with Adrian Gozdz as Account Manager
  • Sam Greaney, hosted by Patton Engineering, Hastings with Ben Julian as Account Manager.

The standard of entries gets higher every year, and 2021 lifted the bar yet again. The talent and passion for their trades were clearly on show in each of the finalist's submissions. The judges had a torrid time working through all the applications: so much so they had to meet three times to finally settle on the finalists!

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the awards ceremony will be held in late January 2022: more details soon.

Please join us in heartily congratulating Chris, Elizabeth and Sam and their Account Managers for this outstanding achievement.

To those who entered but didn't make it to the finals: kia kaha and keep striving! You’re accomplishing great things on your way to becoming a qualified Kiwi tradesperson and ATNZ is proud to support you each step of the way.
