ATNZ Pre-Apprenticeship

If you like making and fixing things but unsure if an apprenticeship is for you? 
Then you may be suited to our pre-apprenticeship course.  This ATNZ level 3 course will give you an introduction to our industry and you can transfer your learning across to a level 4 apprenticeship if you decide this is the career for you.  

Who should attend?
This course gives you a 6-9 month taster of the learning you would complete during an apprenticeship with ATNZ.  Note:  You will need to be employed in industry to complete the on-job components of this course.  


What is covered?
On successful completion of this course, you will be awarded the credits associated with each of the unit standards below.  Below is a sample of Unit Standards you might complete, but we will work with you to select standards that suit your work.

Entry Requirements:

  • You need to be over 16
  • Currently employed in industry.
  • You need to be a Domestic Student


Study Type:
  Self-paced online

Start Time:  On enrolment

Duration:  While this is a self-paced course you should allow 6-9 months (30 weeks) to complete your study part-time.

Assessment: 
You will complete online assessments that will enable you (on successful completion) to be awarded the credits for each unit standard.

Cost:  $2,600 (including GST)
