Where you'll work
Industries you can work in
Refrigeration and air-conditioning technicians work in industries that rely on temperature control.
You could work for companies that operate supermarkets, food processing plants, breweries, wineries, and cold storage facilities, installing and maintaining refrigeration systems that keep food and products safe.
Opportunities also exist in commercial buildings and public facilities, servicing air-conditioning and climate control systems in offices, hospitals, schools, and data centres.
Many technicians work in specialist sectors such as transport refrigeration, marine systems, and industrial cooling, supporting the cold chain and other environments where temperature control is critical.
